Tattoo policy

Tattoos are generally not permitted in the public baths at Jozankei Onsens, in accordance with traditional Japanese onsen policies. Guests with small tattoos that can be fully covered with waterproof patches may still be allowed entry. Waterproof cover patches can be purchased at nearby convenience stores, and your guide can assist you if needed.

Please note that this tour does not include private baths or private rooms. Guests whose tattoos cannot be fully covered will not be permitted to use the public bath area. In this case, nearby footbaths are recommended as an alternative experience.
